My method of consulting allows organisations to discover what they really need to do in order to achieve success.

When consulting in organisations I work in ‘real time’.  This means dealing with live issues, challenges and entanglements that individuals, teams, leaders and even services can find themselves grappling with. When you are close to it, it can be more difficult to see what is at the heart of the matter. My role as a consultant is to help you see what lies there, and then to help you see a way out of the puzzle, problem or dilemma.

Through a process of enquiry, I work with key stakeholders to understand what they need to do to deliver what is required. Once this has been established, I help them figure out what they need to have in place in order to achieve this. It could involve training, finding new ways of connecting with people, facilitation, bringing diverse groups of people together or developing their leadership culture.

By making the invisible, visible, the people in the system are able to see themselves as a whole; able to see where changes need to be made and where unhelpful patterns of working are holding them back from achieving what they need to achieve. The organisations that I work with develop a common language to understand and work with their differences and are therefore able to have high quality conversations, leading to the development of high performing teams and organisations.

I draw on a range of methodologies and practices, to complement what exists already within the organisation, however my starting point is always dialogue and ‘Structural Dynamics’.
