I believe that bringing the relevant people and services together in dialogue develops the most effective and efficient processes. This collaboration is key to organisational success.
Collaboration begins with the client – so we work together to understand what needs to be done; it is very much a partnership between myself and the client.
Successful organisations have people who are willing to collaborate – to see things from different points of view and to listen to each other. I use my experience in organisational development to identify where this doesn’t happen and gain insight into why that might be. I apply ‘Structural Dynamics’ to see where organisational interfaces – be that individuals, teams, services or departments – are unable to work together effectively. My approach then helps to surface what is happening, name it and help people to behave differently towards each other and the issues creating their conflicts.
Collaborating means learning how to be in true dialogue with one another; it involves breaking down organisational and individual barriers to garner the power of the collective intelligence within a system. Bringing teams or seemingly disparate groups from throughout the system together in dialogue to work through the issues that may be holding the organisation back can create breakthroughs in mindset and insight and reset direction and re-energise action.
